Penn State Health is seeking a full time Physical Therapist to join our team in our new Strausstown, Therapy Services Department!
Our Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed or referred physical therapy age specific treatment programs for patients (from infant through geriatric) to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of body part. A critical role to support positive patient outcomes, this individual must document patient care, educate and inform patient and referring physician on outlined plan of care and discharge as guided by patient progress and managed care directives. As it is our mission to provide exceptional patient care, our physical therapist provides strong customer service while interacting with patients, families and other professionals, and adheres to the American Physical Therapists Association (APTA) Code of Ethics
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, or Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
State Physical Therapist license required.
PR EFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
