This position is a member of the Penn State Health Marketing and Communication team. This role serves as a Penn State Health marketing and communications representative in an assigned region, leading all day to day marketing and communication efforts there. This includes, but is not limited to, strategic marketing/communications planning for the Penn State Health outpatient practices and clinical service lines; on site media relations coordination with local news outlets, writers and contributing providers; developing and maintaining the annual marketing budget; coordination with local vendors; media buying for sites and services in assigned region; coordinating engagement activities in the community; as well as on-site and remote coordination with Penn State Sports Properties to fulfill Penn State Health¿s ongoing sponsorship commitments.
Bachelor's degree in Communications and/or Marketing (or comparable degree) or equivalent experience required.
5 years of relevant experience in strategic marketing/communications role required, including leading the creative development of marketing and communication campaigns/plans, budget preparation and oversight, timeline coordination, resource assessment/allocation, use of market research and assessment tools/resources, client management and strategic planning.

Ability to analyze, assess and apply data to shape marketing strategy.
Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
Ability to create and manage strategic marketing plans and budgets.
Ability to implement strategic marketing plans, coordinating with internal and external teams and adjusting plans as market forces and timelines require.
Project management skills, including the ability to work independently and across geographies, remotely coordinating project work with team members and colleagues at multiple locations.
Demonstration of earned authority, coordinating and directing staff and volunteers to support community engagement activities and outreach in the region.
Previous experience in a health care or academic environment preferred.
