JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President, Medical Affairs is a member of Senior Management and has a direct reporting relationship to the Hospital President. The Vice President acts as liaison between the Medical Staff and Administration with primary responsibility for directing the Medical Staff organization in accordance with applicable State regulations, coordinating medical (clinical) activities and resources of the Hospital to enhance the efficiency of the Hospital in delivering quality health service. This individual is held accountable within the context of the philosophy and mission, for the personnel, and relationships within and between medical staff and other departments, nursing and PSHSJ Board (Governance).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

M.D. or D.O. Degree

Board Certified in a recognized specialty with at least five (5) years experience required

Experience in leadership positions, and Medical Management / Medical Affairs required

Active unlimited license to practice medicine in this state.
