Penn State Health Vascular Technologist - Peripheral Vascular Lab in Reading, Pennsylvania

This job is responsible for performing medical history and physical pre-exam, as well as non-invasive vascular ultrasound in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements. Operates all the equipment pertinent to the procedures. Evaluates and educates all customers regarding the vascular disease process and non-invasive diagnostic procedures. Performs high quality, accurate non-invasive diagnostic vascular exams including extracranial cerebrovascular, intracranial cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, peripheral venous, dialysis access and abdominal arterial duplex.


· High School Diploma or GED required

· Completion of an accredited allied health education program, plus completion of six (6) to twelve (12) month externship in vascular ultrasound


· Two (2) years clinical vascular experience preferred


· Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medial Sonographers (ARDMS) or RVS from (CCI) Cardiovascular Credentialing International Required

· BLS preferred
