Penn State Health Patient Access Shift Lead Associate - Penn State Health PPAS REV CYCLE in Reading, Pennsylvania

Shift: Evening

Hours: 3:00p - 11:30p, Every other weekend


The Shift Lead, Provider and Patient Access Services, provides in-the-moment supervision to team members to address procedure and behavior issues as they occur. The incumbent also provides line-level technical expertise to support all functions performed by the team to which the incumbent is assigned. The incumbent is responsible for reviewing and providing feedback for quality and productivity to team members, as well as investigation and resolution of the most complex tasks performed by the team.


HS Diploma or GED required

2 years of experience in registration and/or customer service or a combination of both required


Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of all Federal and State regulations governing the team¿s tasks

Demonstrate strong analytical skills necessary to guide the team members¿ daily work flow.

Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.

Possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to analyze and make recommendations based on data.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and/or discretion in all employee related interactions.

Demonstrate emerging leadership abilities and serve as a positive role model in knowledge, behaviors and work habits.


Associates Degree preferred

Medical terminology knowledge preferred at time of hire
