JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to respond to emergencies, assess patients; provide treatment in accordance with Basic Life Support standard curriculum including Automatic Electronic Defibrillation. Also responsible to transport patients according to established protocols and assist Advance Life Support (Paramedic) providers with patient care management. Must perform non emergency routine medical transports utilizing ambulances and wheelchairs vans and follow up with complete appropriate documentation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required.

6 months of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience preferred.

Basic life support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Program CPR/AED certified in Pennsylvania EMT certification required.

Must have current hazmat R and I training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

Able to stand/walk frequently; sit occasionally.

Able to lift/carry 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-50 lbs occasionally.

Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.

Able to climb occasionally, reach constantly.

Able to use hand for simple/firm grasping.
