Director of Surgical Services (RN Registered Nurse) Penn State Health St. Joseph (Reading, PA)


At Penn State Health St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Reading, the Director of Surgical Services is responsible for the operation of the Surgery Services by directing, planning and overseeing staff in the provision of patient care in support of facility goals and mission. The Director of Surgical Services provides administrative leadership for the Operating Room, PACU, Short Procedure Unit (SPU), Endoscopy, and Outpatient Interventional Stay Unit (OISU). He/she acts as a catalyst between administration, physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of service and care.


- Graduate from an NLN accredited School of Nursing - RN.

- Bachelor's degree (BSN) required

- Master's degree (MSN) or equivalent preferred.


- Three to five years OR, Surgery Center, or Surgical Services experience as a RN - Registered Nurse required.


- Registered Nurse (RN) as licensed by state.
