JOB SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse/RN will perform professional nursing, consultation, and educational services for persons with diabetes, and provide community health education. The RN will also develop curriculum on health and act as a health care consultant by providing information on the management of diabetes for patients of all ages from infancy to geriatrics. Collaborate with other health care team members in information exchange for the planning and delivering appropriate patient care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.

Experience in educating patients, specifically about diabetes.

Ability to adapt education to the individual and family needs.

Ability to stay current with trends in diabetes care and evidence around diabetes care.

Ability to collaborate with the entire health care team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years of experience in educating patients, specifically about diabetes.

Certified with CDE or BC-ADM.

Certifiedpump trainer.
