Minimum Hourly Rate: $34.92

JOB SUMMARY:

Penn State Health is looking for a customer-focused individual with excellent soft skills to coach clinicians across the health system. This position would be best suited for someone that has a willingness to frequently be out of the office, assisting others. Previous technical experience in a healthcare IT setting is a plus. Teaching experience is a plus as well. Provide technology support to one or more operational business units of the Medical Center. Participate in team planning and discussions, prepare sections of team documents, lead small to medium-sized projects, and participate in larger projects. Realize that the daily emphasis of this position is task completion and project completion, according to specific instructions. Understand that these activities usually require the implementation of known approaches, perhaps with modest modification, rather than the engineering of new solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Either: (a) Bachelor's degree plus two additional years of related experience or (b) six years total of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient in evaluating clinical system processes, workflows and clinical application data elements.

Ability to continuously improve the capabilities of health care providers through the extensions of applied information technology in a health care setting.

Experience with Cerner EMR

Provide end-user one-on-one support at client locations to perform high-level Cerner solution tasks

Identify and surface process, workflow and technical questions to appropriate project team members

Provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders on system adoption and utilization

Execute system adoption and/or optimization plan for client based on utilization data and targeted outcomes
