Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Penn State Health, the Chief Information Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all elements of the Information Technology, Informatics, Data/Analytics, and the Health Information Management functions, to include leading, planning, directing, communicating, and evaluating.

The CIO will act as a business partner, internal consultant and strategic advisor to the senior management team and employee work force, determining and implementing strategic and tactical information technology initiatives in support of the missions of the Penn State Health System and College of Medicine. This executive is responsible for the establishment and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.


An advanced degree in a related field

Five years experience in a senior information leadership role within a complex teaching and medical center environment, or in a service organization where one has had demonstrated experience in the integration of cultures through acquisition and/or merger
