Accountable for driving continuous improvement through a combination of information technology audits, information security and compliance assessments, and other special projects, while maintaining objectivity and confidentiality. The Senior Information Technology (IT) Auditor is responsible for supporting the Chief Audit Executive and the IT Audit Manager in examining, evaluating, and verifying the adequacy of internal controls in information technology systems, information security systems and Penn State Health¿s IT infrastructure. Apply risk concepts along with an understanding of business operations in identifying and testing controls associated with information technology, data integrity, operational effectiveness, and compliance with rules and regulations. Upon completion of assessment activities, independently develop and present value added insights to senior management and applicable stakeholders and recommend corrective actions. Responsible for the timely completion of information technology and information security audits in a manner that is consistent with the professional standards of conduct of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
Bachelor degree in computer science, management information systems, accounting, business administration, or related area is required.
Minimum 3 years of current IT auditing and/or information technology experience (application security and architecture, system administration, information security, data privacy, network architecture and security) required.
Professional qualifications are required such as CISA, CISSP or CISM.
Previous experience in the healthcare provider environment is preferred.
