An opportunity exists for a Senior CT Technologist at Penn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They will be responsible for ensuring that the CT Department adheres to all medical center, State, and Federal regulations. This advanced level clinical position will aid in making sure the section runs smoothly when the Chief technologist is unavailable. This is a full-time position working varied hours for evening shift.
·Ensuring that all medical center and departmental regulations are followed
·Assisting the Chief technologist in keeping all employees departmental files accurate and up-to-date
·Overview of all daily patient schedules and facilitates any adjustments to schedules
·Monitors patient and staff satisfaction; assists with action plan development and implementation
·Coordinates orientation program for new staff, reviews and revises the orientation plan and orientation checklist annually
·Acts as a liaison to other radiology modalities and departments
·Assures adequate staffing, determining when supplemental on-call staff is required
·Ensuring an adequate inventory of supplies in department
·Assumes responsibility for billing issues, changes, and deletion of imaging studies
·Coordinates/facilitates patient flow, working with Central Transport staff to minimize delays
·American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification
·Three years of technical experience

oLift/carry to 10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally
oPush/pull to 20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally
oAble to reach constantly; use hands for simple/firm grasping
