Penn State Hershey Medical Center is Central Pennsylvania’s only Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Regional Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and Tertiary Care Provider.


The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients. This is a 16-bed multidisciplinary unit offering excellent nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1, so you as the RN, can truly make an impact on individuals. Our team uses advanced technologies such as Swan- Gantz, Continuous Veno-Venus Hemofiltration/Dialysis (CVVH/D), and Nitric Oxide to treat: 1) Multisystem organ failure 2) Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome 3) Sepsis 4) Hematology/Oncology 4) GI Bleeds 5) Acute renal/liver failure 6) Acid-base and electrolyte imbalances 7) Diabetes Mellitus. Orientation is 6-8 weeks with a consistent preceptor and ACLS is required within 3 months of hire. CCRN certification is encouraged and financially rewarded. This is a full-time, night shift position working 7pm-7am and every other weekend.

·Registered Nurse with a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania or a Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit

·6 months of experience working as a RN


·Experience in an Intensive Care Unit
