Penn State Hershey Medical Center is Central Pennsylvania’s only Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Regional Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and Tertiary Care Provider.
Registered Nurses in the Critical Care Float Pool are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients. In this position, the RN will float to our Ground Floor Services and select Critical Care units, including Heart and Vascular Intensive Care, Heart and Vascular Progressive Care, Surgical Anesthesia Intensive Care, Surgical Intermediate Care, Neuroscience Critical Care, Medical Intensive Care, Medical Intermediate Care, Emergency Department and Peri-Anesthesia.
RN’s will need four years of experience in the field of critical care nursing, including the Emergency Department.

Registered Nurse with a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania or a Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit
6 months of experience working as a RN
Four years of RN experience in the field of Critical Care Nursing
Current BLS, PALS and/or NRP
BSN and Certification
