JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the coordination and daily operations of the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center Human Resources Department to include coordinating, planning and organizing needs, including special projects and initiatives. Uses judgement to interpret policies and procedures, investigate and resolve issues while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and excellent customer service. Handles a wide range of HR support and is able to work with little or no supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree required.

2 years of HR or related experience required. Relevant HR coursework may be substituted for experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Advanced Level) required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and coaching skills required.

Ability to independently lead and manage multiple projects and carry out complex or sensitive projects in a timely manner required.

Ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of leadership and peers as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

HRIS and Kronos experience preferred.
