Penn State Health Life Lion EMS in Hershey is seeking skilled and dedicated Paramedics that are responsible for administering advanced life support care to patients at the scene and during transport. Seeking team members that can collaborate effectively with pre-hospital team members and medical staff. Life Lion Paramedics perform basic and advanced life support treatment to include but not limited to: airway management, intubation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, ekg monitoring, defibrillation, medication administration, intravenous access, splitting bandaging, emergency obstetrics, burn management, triage, patient packaging and transport. Paramedics occasionally work in other assigned patient areas of the Penn State Hershey Hospital in order to maintain clinical skills necessary to maintain certification. Opportunities exist to attend in-service and continuing education programs to improve and maintain professional knowledge and skills.


HS Diploma required.

Graduate of an approved Paramedic Training Program required.

Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification within the Commonwealth of PA OR Pre-Hospital Health Professional credential required.

Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification,

EVOC certificate, and NIMS (100, 200, 700, & 800) are required.

A valid PA Driver's License with at least a 2 year violation free driving history before beginning employment is required.


Able to stand constantly; walk frequently; sit occasionally.

Able to lift/carry 0-10 frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.

Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.

Able to reach constantly. Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.

3 months of Advanced Life Support experience preferred.
