JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant/Cast Tech is primarily responsible for the removal and application of casts and splints on patients. Responsible for providing assistance with various health care services, obtaining specimens, conducting routine lab studies of specimens, and assisting with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments and phone messages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required.

Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient practice or clinical specialty required.

Active status for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.

BLS certification required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree preferred.
