Penn State Hershey College of Medicine and Penn State Medical Group is seeking applications for a founding Chair for a new Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. The founding Chair will be responsible for establishing a department dedicated to excellence in Penn State's missions of clinical care, education, and research.
The Chair will strive to strengthen the academic mission and clinical excellence of the Department by recruiting, retaining and developing clinical, research and education-oriented faculty and staff. The Chair must focus on developing diversity and inclusion among faculty, staff, and trainees in the new department.
MD or equivalent degree or MD/PhD from an accredited institution
American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery certification
Eligibility for permanent, unrestricted licensure in Pennsylvania
Experience in academic and clinical strategic planning, development, and resource management
The candidate must qualify for an academic appointment at the Professor level at Penn State College of Medicine
