Penn State Health is seeking a part time audiologist to join our team and support both our Hershey and Lancaster teams!
The Penn State Health department of Audiology provides a complete range of audiological assessments and habilitation/rehabilitation services with patients ranging in age from infants to elders.This position would provide services for the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation, and rehabilitation to patients with communication disorders resulting from hearing disorders. Services include basic, diagnostic, immittance, otoacoustic emissions, newborn hearing screenings, routine hearing aid maintenance and troubleshooting, and counseling for both the adult and pediatric populations.
Doctor of Audiology degree
Basic diagnostic testing experience preferred
1-2 years’ experience preferred
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Pennsylvania licensure as an audiologist or license eligibility
Our Hershey site is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the best hospital in the South Central PA region, and number 5 in the state.
Our audiology department is located in the University Physicians Center (UPC) within our Hershey campus. Our team consists of 6 audiologists and 1 hearing instrument specialist with specializations in both adult and pediatric disorders. Our department is the only area hospital who provides specialty services including sedated auditory brainstem response testing, hearing aid services for all ages, bone-anchored hearing aids (surgical and softbands), as well as adult and pediatric cochlear implant activation and programming.
In addition, our team works closely with 6 ENT physician assistants and 3 otolaryngologists to provide both our adult and pediatric patients with the best possible care/outcome in one convenient location.
